Hey there, welcome to My Daily Mandala.
It is my new personal project in which I will post a hand-drawn Mandala daily.
Mandala is a geometric pattern that represents the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically. It is often used as a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism, and mandala art is a form of art that involves creating intricate and often symmetrical designs, typically within a circular or square shape. In recent years, mandala art has become popular as a form of meditation and relaxation.

Mandala art can help with relaxation by providing a meditative focus for the mind. The repetitive patterns and shapes can be soothing and calming, and the act of creating or colouring a mandala can help to reduce stress and anxiety. Additionally, the process of creating a mandala can be a form of mindfulness practice, helping to bring the mind into the present moment and increase feelings of inner peace.

I took up Mandala art a few months ago while I was looking to pursue a creative exercise. I wanted to take up something that would allow me to take a break from the digital world of my laptop & smartphone. I tend to get digital strain after long hours of screen time which causes me headaches. So I drew a few Mandalas for a few days and found it really relaxing for my mind. The idea of drawing a Mandala daily had crossed my mind during that time. However, I could not continue the exercise daily at that time and stopped after some time.
But here I am, back again with renewed determination to make this exercise a daily habit and make it public this time. Because as much as I want, the digital strain is not going to go away completely. So I have to find a non-digital, creative outlet for myself.
I have also realized that my Mandalas don’t need to be or look perfect. Instead of striving for perfection, I am going to strive for consistency this time. I’m sure I’ll improve gradually.
It’s my personal project but if this inspires even one person to take up some art form or even anything creative, I would be pleased.
